Throughout the summer of 2011 we saw thousands of volunteers collect recall petitions to hold the republicans accountable for their actions. The swell of support continued to the polls where we held onto our three state senators and gained two seats in republican districts. The republicans didn't want to listen to their constituents, so their constituents spoke out out, and voted for New Leadership.
One year ago, we inaugurated a state senate that would begin to take our state down a draconian path. We would soon realize that the governor needed the senate to vote lock-step to pass his extreme agenda and eliminate Wisconsin’s progressive history.
Scott Walker could not have passed his extreme agenda without the help of the state senate. As we hold Scott Walker accountable, we must hold his crony state Senate accountable too. We need to bring back the Wisconsin Idea, and Take Back Wisconsin.
