Mike Tate,
State Chair

 

 

Mike was elected State Chair in June 2009.  At age 30, he is the youngest state party chair in the nation. Mike has worked for Dane County Executive Kathleen Falk, Governor Jim Doyle, AFSCME Council 40, and Fair Wisconsin.  Most recently, Mike directed Advancing Wisconsin’s vast voter mobilization effort in 2008, helping boost turnout in key legislative districts and the presidential election.

Maggie Brickerman, 
Executive Director

 

 

Maggie has had extensive experience working in leadership positions in many of the hardest-fought local races in Wisconsin during recent election cycles.  She has worked for both the Assembly and Senate Democratic Campaign Committees, and as Communications Director in the office of Assembly Majority Leader Tom Nelson.

Jacob Hajdu,
Political Director

 

 

Jake has extensive field experience both locally and nationally. He has worked for the Democratic Party of Wisconsin previously as the Organizing Director, Deputy Field Director on the 2010 Wisconsin Coordinated Campaign, and also served as the GOTV Director for Wisconsin’s 2nd Congressional District that same year. Jake’s previous campaign experience includes working for Dane County Executive Kathleen Falk, State Representative Kelda Helen Roys, and Smoke Free Wisconsin. He brings this experience to bear as he engages with party activists to build a sophisticated grassroots field operation throughout the state,

Sean Berger,
Membership & Conventions Director

 

 

Sean has assumed leadership roles with a variety of nonprofit organizations, and has been with the Democratic Party of Wisconsin since 2009. Prior to working with the DPW, Sean coordinated programming at Cancer Lifeline, an organization that provides supportive services for people affected by cancer. Sean has also served as the Director of a nonprofit, continuing education college in Seattle, Washington. He is a co-founder & former board member of a Young Nonprofit Professionals Network (YNPN) chapter. Sean holds a Bachelor’s Degree in International Studies from the University of Washington and lives in Madison with his partner Ana.

Cassi Fenili,
Deputy Membership Director

 

 Cassi has been with DPW since fall of 2009. She was previously a student at the University of Wisconsin- Madison, where she was active with many Democratic organizations including UW Students for Hillary Clinton, the College Democrats and Tammy Baldwin for Congress. Cassi currently holds Bachelor's degrees in both Political Science and Social Welfare.

Julie Benkoske ,
Finance Director

 

A recent addition to the DPW, Julie joined the team during the historic 2011 Senate recalls. Originally hired as a call time manager, Julie became the Regional Finance Director for Jess King’s successful campaign for State Senate and then Deputy Finance Director for the Recall Walker Campaign. Julie continues to work to elect progressive leaders for Wisconsin and raise funds for the Democratic Party of Wisconsin and Statewide Coordinated Campaign.

Amber Grant, Deputy Finance Director




Amber is a native Wisconsinite and a proud Democrat. She is a recent graduate of UW Madison and has been interested in politics for many years. Amber has volunteered on various campaigns around the Milwaukee and Madison areas.

Amanda Brink,
Operations & Compliance Director

 

A transplanted Missourian, Amanda Brink has recently relocated to Madison and brings a background in compliance, logistics, and grassroots coordination. While attending Truman State University in Kirksville, Mo., she was one of the architects of a statewide student advocacy organization. She first became involved in Barack Obama's presidential bid in August 2007, and her work for the campaign consisted of grassroots mobilization in the states of Iowa, Wisconsin and Missouri. In local Missouri races, she has helped guide Democrats to victory in Republican strongholds. She has experience in real estate and business management and enjoys spending time her husband, Derek, and their two malteses, Truman and Malcolm.

Bryan Post,
Data & Analytics Director

 

Bryan Post is the Data and Analytics Director for the Democratic Party of Wisconsin. He previously worked as a Deputy Data Director at Organizing for America – Wisconsin in 2012, and was the Data Entry Coordinator following the 2011/2012 recall elections. Bryan worked in the Wisconsin State Capitol building for the Assembly Sergeant-At-Arms during the 2011 protests, and was the campaign manager for now State Assembly Representative Janis Ringhand in 2010. In 2009 and 2010 Bryan worked in the office of then Assembly Speaker Michael Sherdian, and managed Dane County Supervisor Dave de Felice’s re-election campaign. Prior to entering politics Bryan was a Manufacturing Engineer at P&H Mining Equipment in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and has a degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering  (2008) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.


Bryan is also passionate about local issues, especially development in the city of Madison. He is involved in his neighborhood, where he serves on the Council of the Tenney-Lapham Neighborhood Association.
