In response to today's landmark Supreme Court ruling on marriage equality, College Democrats of Wisconsin LGBTQ Caucus Director Danny Levandoski released the following statement.

"Today is a historic day for the United States. We have finally seen marriage equality become the law across the nation. I would not only like to thank the Supreme Court of the United States, but also all of the activists who made this day possible.

However, our work has only just begun. The road to equality does not end at equal marriage. Members of the LGBTQ Community are marginalized on a daily basis in the workforce, housing, and education. We need to bring light to these issues and to the identities within the community that do not receive the visibility they deserve; such as the transgender, bi/pansexual, genderqueer, and asexual communities.

Thank you to everyone who stood in solidarity and support with my fellow LGBTQ Wisconsinites. With momentum from this victory, we can continue our state's march towards equality. On Wisconsin."
