About the candidate
Marge Krupp says that she
is inspired to run for the House of
Representatives because incumbent Republican
Congressman Paul Ryan of the 1st Congressional
District consistently represents the privileged
few at the expense of working families in the
District. Congressman Ryan holds stubborn
support for President George Bush's war in Iraq
even after the voters spoke clearly in November
of 2006 that we the people want a different
direction. She felt so strongly that
she resigned her marketing job to
devote her full time and talents to her
campaign to defeat Congressman Paul Ryan 2008
campaign. Marge feels that it is her
duty to her country to end the lies and half
truths that President George W. Bush and
Republican Congressman Paul Ryan stubbornly
adhere to. She is running as a
Democratic Candidate for U.S. Congress to
address three major issues:
She says: "We need a
Representative who will offer real leadership
on President George W. Bush's Iraq War instead
of Congressman Paul Ryan’s rubber-stamping the
failures of President George W. Bush. For the
people in Wisconsin’s 1st Congressional
District, the choice is between Bush and Ryan's
support for indefinite occupation and my demand
for a real plan that will bring our troops home
and strengthen our national security. While our
soldiers have accomplished everything that has
been asked of them, there is still no plan from
Bush and Ryan to start bringing our troops
home."
