The grassroots effort that successfully gathered a million signatures to recall Scott Walker was a resounding victory for working, middle-class families. More than 25,000 volunteers worked tirelessly over the last two months to collect, verify and prepare 1.9 million signatures  – a historic achievement.

Tammy Baldwin started a thank you card for all of our recall volunteers. Maggie, Mitch and I signed our names to the card today. Will you join us by signing your name too and by passing along the thank you card to your friends and family?

One Million Strong to Recall Scott Walker

Posted 15:07PM on January 17 2012 by Mike Tate | User Comments (7) Categories: Recall HQ, Scott Walker | Tags: Recall scott walker, Scott walker

In Wisconsin, you have made a historic stand.

You stood up with the notion that one person could make a difference. You stood up for the unions that helped create the middle class. You stood up against the cynical notion that the big money polluting our democracy today must always win.

You stood up One Million Strong to recall Scott Walker.

I'm at our undisclosed location in Madison right now where thousands of volunteers have been working around-the-clock to verify and prepare all of the signatures you have collected to recall Scott Walker.

We're still counting and verifying all of the signatures, but I do have some amazing news to share with you.

The weight of all the petitions you have circulated totals more than 3,000 lbs.

Scott Walker's Repeated Defense of Sex Offenders

Posted 22:25PM on January 11 2012 by Ryan Alexander | User Comments (10) Categories: Scott Walker | Tags: Brian pierick, Recall scott walker, Scott walker, Sex crimes, Sex offenders, Tim russell

When news broke last week that Scott Walker's close friend and former operator of ScottWalker.org was investigated for owning child pornography and was charged with felony child enticement, all Scott Walker had to say was that he was "disappointed."

He never expressed outrage. He never apologized to the victim or his family. He never took the charges against his good friend and longtime campaign aide seriously.

It's not gonna happen again

Posted 16:59PM on January 11 2012 by Mike Tate | User Comments (1) Categories: Scott Walker | Tags: Fundraising deadline, Koch brothers, Mental health complex, Recall scott walker, Scott walker

In 2010, Scott Walker's gross mismanagement at his Mental Health Complex resulted in more than 67 sexual assaults and a starvation death of a patient. But rather than admit fault, Scott Walker tried to cover up the scandal by shuffling his buddy and hand-picked administrator to another cushy taxpayer-funded job.

Scott Walker then used his $43,125 check from the Koch brothers to go up on the air with a massive television buy to shield himself from responsibility before the election.

Disappointed

"Disappointed."

That's all Scott Walker had to say when he learned that his former Deputy Chief of Staff and his appointee to a Veteran Service Commission were charged with stealing more than $60,000 intended for wounded veterans and families of military servicemembers who died in Iraq and Afghanistan.

What if Tommy Thompson Threw a 25th Anniversary Gala and Nobody Came?

Posted 11:47AM on January 09 2012 by Graeme Zielinski | User Comments (4) Categories: Tommy Thompson | Tags: Elections 2012, Phil collins, Scott walker, Tommy thompson, U.s. senate

That's what happened this weekend in a humid embarrassment for Tommy Thompson and the Republican Senate nomination.

For weeks, Thompson's bumbling campaign had been advertising Saturday's $50-per-head fiesta at the Concourse Hotel as a chance for everyone to get together to throw back highballs and kneel at the Altar of Tommy, harkening back to a time when welfare moms were on the run, Scott Walker was getting kicked out of Marquette student elections and high-speed rail was just a twinkle in Tommy's eye.

January 17th Due Date

Posted 21:12PM on January 08 2012 by Jeremy P. Levinson | User Comments (9) Categories: Recall HQ, Scott Walker | Tags: Government accountability board, Recall scott walker, Scott walker, Waukesha circuit court

In light of recent actions by the Waukesha Circuit Court, imposing changes to the GAB's recall petition review process demanded by Scott Walker's campaign committee in a proceeding from which we were excluded, it is understandable that concerns have arisen about our ability to rely on established procedures and laws as we prepare to submit the petitions. The purpose of this letter is to reaffirm in detail that, despite Scott Walker's dirty tricks and legal shenanigans, he will not be able to escape from the voters and he will face a recall election.
