Question of the Week:
Who’s the Biggest Flip-Flopper? Brett Favre or Scott Walker…
Earlier this week, news broke that (once again) Brett Favre was going to retire from football- only to be untrue…for now. As the public is once again teased with Favre’s flip-flop of is-he or isn’t-he, here at the Democratic Party we cannot help but notice an uncanny resemblance to another serial flip-flopper, Scott Walker. As we look at both Scott Walker and Brett Favre, we wonder who should be crowned as the Biggest Flip-Flopper?
When it comes to Scott Walker, he has switched his position on concealed carry laws, late night voting, no bid contracts, the statewide smoking ban, stimulus funding, and shared revenue cuts. We are only in the beginning of August, who knows how many more times he will flip-flop before the November 2 election.
In comparison, Favre keeps changing his mind about whether or not he'll play for the Minnesota Vikings, the team that Gov. Tim Pawlenty exhorted Wisconsin Republicans like Scott Walker to cheer for at their Milwaukee convention in May.
By looking at the facts, it is evident that Scott Walker is the Biggest Flip-Flopper. Walker could teach Favre a lot about flip-flopping; he has flip-flopped more on his positions than Favre has flip-flopped on his retirement stance (and that is saying a lot, ask any Wisconsinite you know). But at least Favre had the decency to throw away last year's playoff game for the Vikings. Scott Walker seems intent on throwing away Wisconsin's budget to a few of his fat cat friends.
