Below is a schedule of confirmed statewide events. Check back often, we'll be updating regularly.

State Capitol & Madison Area Events

Monday April 4

  • 6:30am, Downtown Area, Worksite flyers
  • 12 noon, City County Building, 210 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., early vote rally and GOTV
  • 5:00 pm, Poor People’s March, meet at Madison City Hall
  • 5:00-8:00 pm, State Street steps of Capitol “From Memphis to Madison Rally” 
  • 5:00-8:00 pm, Candlelight Vigil, MLK Blvd. between Capitol and Monona Terrace

2nd and 30th Senate District 

  • Monday, April 4, 2011- 12 p.m.- 1 p.m.
    • Rock the Vote Rally at each of the following locations:
      Green Bay, Shawano, De Pere, Kaukauna, Oconto Falls

      6:30 p.m. - 8 p.m.
      Voices of Solidarity - the GBEA event
      Divine Temple, Green Bay, WI
      A one-hour prayer/song/speaker opening followed by a candlelit vigil from the church to around the block. MLK speeches will be given. Possible guest appearance by Mavis Staples.

  • Ongoing event in Menomonie: 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. every day Tuesday & Thursday, a peaceful march at the Veteran’s Memorial Park on Crescent Street in Menomonie. Signs available. Participants are welcome to come for whatever time they are available.
