One Down, Seven to Go

Less than a month ago, grassroots organizers turned in papers to recall the Republican 8 in the Senate who stood with Scott Walker as he pushed his partisan power grab that stripped thousands of Wisconsinites of the right to collective bargaining.

Today, volunteers will file the paperwork to recall the first of the Republican 8, Dan Kapanke.

But we have seven more Republicans to recall in the next month! Contribute $7, $20, or even $50 and help us build on our momentum to recall the next seven Republicans.

In the last month, we've seen enormous energy and commitment from people who have come together to fight Scott Walker and his extremist agenda.

Dan Kapanke is vulnerable to losing a recall election for supporting Scott Walker's radical plan. He won his last election by the thinnest of margins, and new polling shows he's already behind. But he's also vulnerable because of his long history of putting his own interests above the law.

Just last year, Kapanke took cash from groups that use lobbyists and used it to pay for improvements to his business, a violation of law. And Kapanke and his cronies have a long history of unethical behavior.

But we need your help today. Kapanke is just the first of the seven Republicans we're targeting for recall, and we've got just a month to go. Contribute $7 and help us build on our momentum.

It's been clear in the last month that Republicans are refusing to back down - even to the point of defying court orders to target the rights of working people, and that next on their agenda is passing Walker's unfair budget that will gut millions from our schools and university system.

But together we can fight Walker and Republicans like Dan Kapanke who stand with him. With your help, we can recall enough Republicans, retake the Senate, and start to take Wisconsin back.
