25,000 Voters Contacted in One Day

BallotFest! made nearly 25,000 voter contacts on Saturday, showing how energy and enthusiasm is surging for Democratic candidates and Senators in the recall elections.

"The stunning display of enthusiasm is just more proof of what we've been seeing across the state for the past several months," said Democratic Party Chairman Mike Tate. "People don't want the extreme anti-family, anti-middle class agenda of Scott Walker and the Republican Legislature, and they want leaders in the Senate who will fight for their shared values. This was a strong outpouring of support and volunteer activism, but its also the tip of the iceberg of the energy out there to stand up to this radical, divisive agenda, and to change state government."

BallotFest! was a statewide day of voter outreach action that enlisted hundreds of volunteers in all nine of the Senate recall districts. Volunteers knocked on doors and made phone calls to discuss the Democratic agenda that will defend education, keep our promise to our seniors, and protect middle class and working families from tax increases and from shouldering all of the sacrifice in these tough times.
