Shh! It's a suprise for Peter & Donna
Did you know that two of Wisconsin's strongest Democratic leaders have birthdays on this Get-Out-The-Vote weekend?
That's right. Tomorrow is Asst. Assembly Democratic Leader Donna Seidel's birthday and on Sunday, Assembly Democratic Leader Peter Barca will celebrate his birthday.
We thought it would be a fun idea to "surprise" Donna and Peter by inviting you to sign a special birthday card for them.
There's nothing Donna and Peter would love more this weekend than seeing thousands of hardworking Wisconsinites out in neighborhoods across our state talking one-on-one with voters to take Wisconsin back for the people.
We all remember what Donna and Peter, along with all the members of the orange-clad Assembly Democrats, did for working families to fight Gov. Walker's assault on our shared Wisconsin values:
- They stayed, fought and led the Assembly Democrats in a record-breaking, 62 hour floor debate, working tirelessly to stop Gov. Walker from balancing the budget on the backs of middle-class families
- They led a public hearing that lasted for more than 140 hours to keep the capitol open so that Wisconsin citizens could have their voices heard when Republicans shut them down
- They stood up and fought to protect Wisconsin's citizens right to participate in our government and defended our state’s open meeting tradition
Donna and Peter continue to lead the effort to restore funding for public education, improve access to quality health care and fight to bring back worker rights that Wisconsinites had for more than 50 years. But we need to take back the state Senate on August 9th so we can start the process to regain the majority in the Assembly, recall Gov. Walker and return Wisconsin government to the people.

With your help and support, we'll give Donna, Peter and working families the best present of all: a Democratic majority in the state Senate on August 9th.
