Tea Party going all in to save Scott Walker
Remember last year? The Packers had just won the Super Bowl and all across our state, Wisconsinites were united in celebration over the return of the Lombardi Trophy to Titletown, USA. Wisconsin was #1.
Then, Scott Walker "dropped the bomb" on the people of Wisconsin by publicly announcing his secret plan to eliminate the rights of Wisconsin workers and hand over our state to powerful Koch-backed special interests.
Scott Walker's "bomb" tore Wisconsin apart, pitting Packer backer against Packer backer, neighbor against neighbor, and Wisconsinite against Wisconsinite.
A year ago, you stood in solidarity with thousands of working men and women all across Wisconsin who knew that Scott Walker's extreme, Tea Party agenda would lead our state down the wrong path.
Since then, Scott Walker has led Wisconsin to be #1 in jobs loss, #2 in cuts to K-12 education and #3 in cuts to higher education. It's not working, but according to the Washington Post, the Koch-backed Tea Party is "going all in to save Scott Walker" with a massive $700,000 television blitz to promote Scott Walker's record.
Save Scott Walker? How about we save Wisconsin from Scott Walker? Stand in solidarity on the anniversary of our historic grassroots movement by adding your contribution of $12 to help defeat Scott Walker and the Tea Party in the first major election of 2012.
Your support will help us save Wisconsin's reputation for clean and open government. In just the last few weeks, we've seen six of Scott Walker's top aides and associates charged with a total of 15 felonies in an ongoing, unprecedented criminal corruption investigation into Scott Walker's administration.
We've learned about "secret email networks" in Scott Walker's office and confidentiality agreements signed by Scott Walker's cronies in the legislature to "ignore public comments" about their shady plan to monopolize state power for the next decade.
Save Wisconsin from Scott Walker and Tea Party billionaires like the Koch brothers. Add your contribution of $12 to our week-long solidarity money bomb marking the anniversary of our historic grassroots movement that has stood up for working families all across America.
With the Tea Party's huge advertising campaign, Scott Walker and the Koch brothers have now spent nearly $8 million in a desperate attempt to drown out your voice and hold onto power. We'll never be able to match Scott Walker's unlimited access to corporate cash, but with thousands of grassroots activists giving what they can in solidarity, we'll have the resources we need to win the first election of 2012 for working families.
