Letter: Scott Walker Showing Illinois "exactly how not to do things"

By Steven Potter

As residents of Springfield, IL woke up this morning to news that Scott Walker was in town to wax on erroneously about his failed reforms and anti-family agenda, they may have also found a Letter to the Editor in their daily newspaper, The State Journal-Register, with a stern warning against Walker.

Written by a businesswoman, the letter describes in detail to the people of Illinois why they should be leery of Walker's double-talk and lies.

"Unless he’s telling your state what not to do to lose jobs and create a lousy climate for job creation and businesses, I have no idea why (the Illinois Chamber of Commerce would) invite him," states the Wisconsin resident. "Scott Walker began his term literally by killing thousands of infrastructure jobs that were sent to Illinois."

Well, maybe that's why — to thank him for sending all of those jobs south.

The writer, who's a Milwaukee resident, also pokes holes in Walker's impossible-to-fulfill promise of creating a quarter-million jobs during his first term.

"Walker came into office promising jobs and to improve the job climate — but he’s done neither, mainly because he never had a credible plan to begin with," she writes.
