Stalling
By: Pat Kreitlow
After accomplishing very little once again, Congress is leaving Washington, D.C. Friday for its August recess- a five week, taxpayer-funded vacation.
We need to make Washington, D.C. listen. The middle class can’t be put on the back burner any longer. Farmers are facing a historic drought, small businesses aren't getting help, and a tax cut for the middle class is being held hostage. We need real relief, starting with an end to the Bush tax cuts that cost us nearly $2 trillion between 2002 and 2009.
It's time to call on Congressman Sean Duffy and his colleagues to focus on legislation that invests in job creation and real deficit relief that reflects the values of middle class Wisconsin families.
While Congress is on a break, I know that you will be working hard. Shouldn’t your congressman be doing the same? Wisconsin’s 7th District deserves a representative who will stand up for them, and make sure their voices are heard in Washington, D.C.
Join me in calling on Sean Duffy and Congressional Republicans to focus on legislation that invests in job creation, restores fairness in the tax code and reduces the deficit using priorities that reflect Wisconsin’s middle class values.
