October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month

According to the American Cancer Society, excluding cancers of the skin, breast cancer is the most frequently diagnosed cancer in women. An estimated 40,480 women and 450 men died from breast cancer in 2008, and an estimated 182,460 new cases of invasive breast cancer were diagnosed in women, plus 1,990 cases in men.

Scott Walker Republicans have shown total disregard for the working families of Wisconsin, with the greatest amount of contempt reserved for our brothers and sisters of the labor movement. After having waged a full-scale assault against labor, this bunch adds insult to a thousand injuries by hoping to preen in Labor Day parades. This is absurd.

Ron Johnson came to Madison last week for a hypocritical photo-op, reading to children at a community health clinic, one of the very clinics that would lose valuable funding if Johnson and his Tea Party cronies get their way in repealing the successful Affordable Care Act and slashing billions from vital social safety net programs.
