A new report from the New York Times shows that under the Romney-Ryan plan, analysts say patients would "would immediately add hundreds of dollars a year to out-of-pocket Medicare expenses for beneficiaries" [1]

The report continues, "an economist and a longtime health policy analyst at the Brookings Institution and the Institute of Medicine, called Mr. Romney’s vow to repeal the savings “both puzzling and bogus at the same time.”"

This week, Tommy Thompson reversed himself and called on Missouri senate candidate Todd Akin to drop out of the race over his comments on women's health. Yet Tommy Thompson has a history of supporting the same absolutist view on women's health that Akin was arguing for when he made those comments.
