MADISON – The day after more than one million signatures were submitted to recall Scott Walker, details are emerging that Walker’s administration claimed a budget deficit as justification to kick tens of thousands of Wisconsinites off of BadgerCare. 

The following is a statement by Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Mike Tate on this morning’s announcement by former County Executive Kathleen Falk on her candidacy for governor.

MADISON – Following is a statement from Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Mike Tate on the new attack ad placed by the Koch Brother’s group, Americans for Prosperity: 

"In his last speech before he was slain, Martin Luther King., Jr., spoke of the power of nonviolent protest by people who face the cynical idea that they must accept injustice and bow down before power. "We are determined to be people-we are saying that we are God's children," Dr. King said in rejoinder to this notion.

MADISON – The Democratic Party of Wisconsin today called on "Struggling" Sean Duffy to put his money where his mouth is by disavowing all outside spending in this election and returning the $5,000 he accepted from Citizens United, the special interest group that helped overturn campaign finance reform laws and opened the door to unprecedented outside spending.
