MADISON —Multimillionaire Tea Partier Ron Johnson's views on 'freedom' took another turn Wednesday as Johnson and his campaign issued their third explanation in two days for why Johnson and his staff were caught on video ripping down the signs of Johnson's opponents.
MADISON — As news of Polaris’ plant closure hits Northern and Central Wisconsin, Republican Sean Duffy has some explaining to do over his plan to reward companies that ship jobs out of Wisconsin. Duffy is not only a staunch supporter of the trade policies that have sent Wisconsin jobs overseas, he has publicly pledged to protect tax breaks for companies that ship jobs abroad.

At last weekend’s Republican convention in Milwaukee, Johnson was caught on video ripping down signs for his opponent – and fellow multimillionaire – real estate developer Terrence Wall. In the video released yesterday, a Johnson aide also tears down and trashes a sign for Johnson’s other primary opponent Dave Westlake.

MADISON — In the latest sign that the Republican Party of Wisconsin has turned over the keys to the most extreme elements of their party, multimillionaire, Tea Partier Ron Johnson received the backing of the Republican Party elite at yesterday's convention despite his refusal to condemn fellow tea partier and Kentucky Senate candidate Rand Paul's fringe views on the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Paul said last week that discrimination should be a "local" issue and that private businesses should have the “freedom” to refuse to serve people based on the color of their skin.

MADISON — Today, Secretary Dick Leinenkugel finally figured out what many Republicans — like Tommy Thompson, Ted Kanavas, Tim Michels and others — already have: Senator Russ Feingold is highly regarded by Wisconsinites and trying to paint him as anything other than an independent voice isn't a winning proposition. But the announcement that Leinenkugel was forced out of the Republican primary by the far right Tea Party forces is a clear sign that only extremists with a checkbook need apply.
