 MADISON- After Scott Walker's trial balloon of a sales tax hike went over like a lead zeppelin, he and his Tea Party allies are gearing up for a legislative session that would deny gays the right to visit their ailing partners in the hospital, throw the state into an unnecessary battle over illegal immigration and reignite the divisive debate over Native American mascots.

MADISON- Following is the statement of Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Mike Tate on Thanksgiving, 2010:

MADISON- Working families would bear the brunt of a plan by a key Scott Walker adviser to raise state sales taxes by as much as 50 percent, it was reported today.

MADISON- In trying to block an arms treaty with Russia, Ron Johnson begins his Senate career toeing the Republican party line - and conjuring a warped view of the U.S. Constitution which he claimed during his campaign he respected.

MADISON- California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and Senators Barbara Boxer and Dianne Feinstein joined the race to receive Wisconsin’s already-allocated federal funds for high-speed rail, and the thousands of jobs it will create, which Scott Walker has stated he will reject.

MADISON- Paul Ryan and Wisconsin's other GOP representatives acknowledged today what we've known all along, that Scott Walker lied entirely when he claimed on the campaign trail that he'd divert $810 million in rail money for roads projects.

 MADISON- Showing the arrogance that marked his time as county executive of Milwaukee, Scott Walker has sent a petulant letter asking Jim Doyle to stop acting as governor and cede power to him before the state constitution says so.

MADISON-The manufacturer that would have created hundreds of jobs at an abandoned plant in Milwaukee said it would move those jobs to Illinois if Scott Walker goes through with his plans to kill the high-speed rail project that he previously had supported, and which would have created thousands of other good-paying jobs.
