MADISON - The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel yesterday featured a questionable, far-fetched claim by two doctors from Eau Claire, Wisconsin.  The he-said, she-said story includes several holes in both Dr. Michael Smith’s and an unnamed doctor’s attack on Third District Congressman Ron Kind.  A spokesperson for the conservative pharma-funded 60 Plus Association, which ran $600,000 worth of ads against Ron Kind this cycle, Dr. Michael Smith has donated and held fundraisers for Kind’s opponent, Dan Kapanke.

MADISON – The Democratic Party of Wisconsin today asked the Internal Revenue Service for a full audit and criminal investigation into state senator and Republican candidate for the Third Congressional District Dan Kapanke’s admitted abuse of charitable contributions to pay down his personal debts.

MADISON - Last week, Dan Kapanke dodged for a day, then partially admitted guilt, then a day later, he finally told the whole truth that he used his foundation as a slush fund to pay off his personal debts.

MADISON - A day after admitting that he illegally profited off a $16,000 payment made from a charitable foundation, state Sen. Dan Kapanke admitted to profiting from another similar payment from the same nonprofit.

MADISON - The Democratic Party of Wisconsin today submitted a complaint against Dan Kapanke, alleging that the state senator and Republican candidate for the Third Congressional District employed a money-laundering scheme to pay off debts he owes the City of La Crosse.
