MADISON – The Democratic Party of Wisconsin (DPW) today announced the theme of this year’s State Convention: ‘The Difference is Leadership’. With Democrats in full control of government for the first time in more than two decades, the DPW will highlight the theme as Party members gather in Green Bay June 12-13 for State Convention.

This year also marks the 60th year of the modern Democratic Party in Wisconsin.

“Democrats are leading our state and nation forward, making the tough decisions every day to create jobs, stimulate the economy and balance the budget,” said Joe Wineke, Chair of the DPW. “From the State House to the White House, Democrats are taking the lead and working hard to clean up the mess we inherited from George W. Bush and the Republicans.”
