MADISON — Milwaukee County is crumbling —
literally — under Scott Walker.
Under Scott Walker, maintenance backlogs on
County Parks and bridges have surged and concrete has begun falling from his
own County Courthouse.

maintenance needs in County parks for vehicle bridges went up
from $17.7 million in 2006 to $35.5 million in 2008. Deferred maintenance
for County park roads went up from $44.3 million to $66.5 million. In
addition, in 2008 Walker allowed 33 fully funded highway maintenance jobs to
sit vacant.
