MILWAUKEE-Following is the statement of Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Mike Tate in response to Scott Walker ally David Clarke's threats to refuse to comply with budget reforms of his agency.

"When David Clarke had Scott Walker to hide behind, his antics were limited to fights with judges, embarrassing lapses in security and the use of taxpayer resources to rent a horse so he could ride around in parades dressed as a cowboy.

His budgets grew fat even though his contribution to safety in Milwaukee County was minimal, and the rest of Milwaukee County agencies had to absorb devastating cuts at the hands of his Tea Party ally Scott Walker.

Now that David Clarke is being held accountable for his wasteful ways, he is threatening insubordination and showing just why he has not been effective in his job. Now the world can see that David Clarke, who is eligible for recall, is more interested in grandstanding than keeping Milwaukee County safe.

David Clarke is all hat and no cattle."
