Wisconsin Republicans Follow Paul Ryan's Path to End Medicare
MADISON-Following is the statement of Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Mike Tate following the vote by Wisconsin's Republican Congressional delegation to follow Paul Ryan's budget, which ends Medicare.
"Ending Medicare by turning it into a voucher program of diminishing value for Wisconsin's seniors is irresponsible and reckless. People like Sean Duffy and Reid Ribble promised to listen to the people of their district and to help the middle class. By their votes today, they have shown that they would rather make life easier for New York hedge fund billionaires than for the working women and men of their district who played by the rules and expected their representatives to not betray the economic security of their twilight years."
