Brad Schimel's campaign is flailing
"Josh Kaul is committed to doing the hard work to become Wisconsin's next Attorney General"
MADISON -- In the most recent finance report, former federal prosecutor and candidate for Attorney General Josh Kaul demolished incumbent Brad Schimel, raising two and a half times the amount Schimel did over the same period, showing Wisconsin is ready for a change from Brad Schimel’s failure to make Wisconsin safe and strong.
“These reports tell a story Brad Schimel doesn’t want to hear -- it’s clear that Josh Kaul is committed to doing the hard work to become Wisconsin’s next Attorney General,” said Courtney Beyer, Democratic Party of Wisconsin spokesperson. “While Brad Schimel struggles to keep his head above water, Josh will continue to connect with Wisconsinites around the state who want a safer and stronger Wisconsin.”
Brad Schimel, ever plagued by scandal, was out-fundraised by Josh Kaul by nearly three times over this July. Additionally, Kaul had more than five times the number of contributions from individuals as Schimel. From July 1 - 30, Kaul fundraised a commanding $110,554.98, while Schimel reported only $45,119.00 fundraised. Schimel had 116 contributions from individuals averaging $363.09, while Josh Kaul had 638 contributions from individuals that averaged $115.42.
“Wisconsinites are fed up with Schimel’s extremism and neglect and want an Attorney General who will protect their interests. Whether it was his reckless lawsuit against the ACA, jeopardizing the health care of millions of Wisconsinites with pre-existing conditions, or his blatant neglect of Wisconsin’s 6,000 backlogged rape kits, Brad Schimel has prioritized partisan political games over Wisconsinites’ safety and wellbeing.”
